Reverse Outside Swivel Method 1

Leader

  1. Q: LF fwd in CBMP | DC | H | 1/2 to L between 1-3 | CBM

    • Man is on the outside of turn, use strong CBM (range of motion). Keep head and body weight to left.

  2. Q: RF to side | Backing DW | BH

  3. S: LF back in CBMP, RF crosses in front of LF without weight. End in PP. | DC end facing DW against LOD | BH with pressure on B of RF | 1/8 to L between 3-4

    • Pull right hip back slightly to allow Lady to do CBMP. Keep head and body weight diagonally left. Don't fall backward. Right foot will move leftwards (RF on outside edge of foot, pointing the foot, articulate the ankle.)

  4. Q: RF forward and across in PP and CBMP | Pointing to wall | H

  5. Q: LF place to side small step without weight | Facing wall | IE of B

Follower

  1. Q: RF back in CBMP | BDC | BH | 1/2 to L between 1-3 | CBM

  2. Q: LF to side and slight fwd | Point down LOD | Whole foot

    • Lady is on inside of turn. Do not use big step or travel too quickly. Use range of motion.

  3. S: RF fwd in CBMP, OP LF closes slightly back without weight. End in PP | DC end facing DW | HB (Foot flat) and IE of B of LF | 1/4 to R | CBM

    • Keep turning L, RF steps across LF, use CBMP, after stepping, connect right shoulder to right foot and use that as axis and swivel around hip area only, try to keep upper elbow points/frame stable. Then, swivel and turns to PP.

    • Need to have a bit more effort on the foot to swivel on ball of foot. Make sure to complete the rotation (so Man doesn't feel it stopped). Together with the turn, it creates some sway motion in the vertical plane. Lady stretches her L side.

    • To avoid feeling "blocked" in hip area, blocks of weight lined up very vertical, do not stick hip forward, which will block Man. Pick up abdominal area to the spine. Don't fall back which pulls upper body off the hips and makes the hip go forward and then feel "blocked".

    • Outside partner, Lady's RF fwd, get head to be really going forward, do not stop head early, it will get in Man's way. Then, at end of S, strong swivel action at hip, keep arms with Man. Head stays behind, hip strong twist and forward.

    • Head can stay left the whole time, so it doesn't appear head is flipping a lot.

  4. Q: LF forward and across in PP and CBMP | To wall pointing DW | HB (Foot flat) | 3/8 to L between 4-5 | CBM

    • When moving out of PP, it needs some over balance to create bigger movement/step bigger. It almost feels like falling (feeling the balance is leaving the safety area between the feet, tolerate as much as one can before placing the foot).

    • Turning at waist area only.

  5. Q: RF place to side small step without weight | Backing wall | IE of B

Outside Swivel Method 2

On step 3 above, more turn could be made so that the LF moves back DC with L toe pointing to wall. End facing wall.

Note: There is a sharp Foot Swivel on RF as the LF moves DC on step 3. Lady will turn only 1/8 to R on step 3.
