Foxtrot Weave from Promenade Position

  1. S: RF fwd in PP and CBMP | Pointing DC Body facing LOD | HT | Sway(S) | rise e/o 1

    • feet, low center, high center: the offset position of these 3 points must be maintained through PP and weave.

  2. Q: LF fwd | Facing DC | T | start to turn L | Sways(S) | CBM | Up

    • Angle left shoulder and hip down, do not pull weight back.

    • Step through a curved line.

  3. Q: RF to side and slightly back | Backing DW | T | 1/4 between 2-3 | Sway(L) | Up

    • Energy still moves diagonal center. Do not think about BLOD.

  4. Q: LF back in CBMP | Backing LOD | T | 1/8 between 3-4 | Sway(L) | Up

    • Pull center back

  5. Q: RF back | Backing LOD | T | start to turn L | Sway(S) | CBM | Up

    • Connect R shoulder and hip down, Man is inside of turn.

  6. Q: LF to side and slightly fwd | Pointing DW | T | 3/8 between 5-6 Body turns less | Sway(R) | Up

    • Keep center toward the Man.

    • Body doesn't turn till second step.

  2. Q: RF to side and slightly back | Backing DC | T | 3/8 between 1-2 | Sway(S) | Up

    • Depends on how Man shapes. Head can keep left or right. Head following the arc.

    • If shaping to R, keep head position, turn body underneath (base rotate), effectively, head will shape to right during weave.

    • Think step forward and it will end in "side and slightly back"

  3. Q: LF to side and slightly fwd | Pointing to LOD | T | 3/8 between 2-3 Body turns less | Sway(R) | Up

    • Keep knee soft, do not stick tummy to man, pull center back.

  4. Q: RF fwd in CBMP, OP | Facing LOD | T | -- | Sway(R) | Up

  5. Q : LF fwd | Facing LOD | T | start to turn L | Sways(S) | CBM | Up.

    • R side is the driving side, left side is swinging fwd. The driving side is always the lower side, not the swinging side.

  6. Q: RF to side | Backing Wall | TH | 1/4 between 5-6 | Sway(L) | Up

    • Closing head to left.

    • Swivel the feet. Feet turns more.

  7. Q: LF back in CBMP | Backing DW | TH | 1/8 between 6-7 Body turns less | Sway(L) | Up. NFR Lower e/o 7
