Sweetheart Whip
West Coast Swing Sweetheart Whip
This is also called "Locked Whip", "Basket Whip", "Walk around", "Pull back".
This pattern starts in double hand hold in open position. It can start from single hand hold, and then change to double hand hold when lady passed by.
Leader
1: LF diag. back side
Man will walk around lady 1 full turn.
2: RF forward
Man raise L arm to go over lady's head
3: LF to side | 1/4 to R
The footwork is like Underarm Turn.
&: RF cross in front of LF | continue turning R 1/4
Man's L hand will drop down over count 3&4
4: LF to side | finish total of 1/2 turn.
5: RF forward | continue to turn R
walk around lady,
give lead pressure to lead her
Man's R hand is gliding behind Lady's back.
6: LF to side | 1/2 turn to R, complete full turn
Man start releasing R hand.
7&8: anchor triple step
Follower
1: RF forward
Lady does straight forward and then back in this pattern.
2: LF forward
3: RF forward, small step
forward coaster step.
&: LF closes together to RF
4: RF back
5: LF back
Lady feels Man's lead, then do walk step (not triple)
6: RF back
not very big step
7&8: anchor triple step
