    • Curve the step.

    • Preparing for L turn (Lady is inside of turn): Lower part of body is rotary, upper body is on sway plane. Connect R shoulder down to R hip (turning the dial).

    • If sternum is turning to L, same as lower part of body, then Man will feel being pulled.

    • Keep left side strongly to the Man all through the steps.

  2. Q: LF to side and slightly fwd | Pointing to LOD | T | 1/2 to L between 1-2 Body turns less | Sway(R) | up

    • The movement is still same direction back, foot is pointing LOD.

    • Swing L hip and L side through an upward diagonal, do not put head weight forward too quickly.

    • Right side and hip to Man.

    • Shape head to right by rotating body underneath head on QQ,

  3. Q: RF fwd in CBMP, OP | Facing LOD | TH | slight body turn | Sway(R) | up, lower e/o 3

Notes:

  • When this is the danced after a Forward Lock, one walk on S is added (Man RF fwd, Lady LF back)

    • Prepping the walk: get to knees, hip rotate to R, which gives more room to move as well.

  • When the Progressive Chassé is danced after an underturned Natural Spin Turn or an Impetus Turn as an entry to the Quick Open Reverse, the normal alignment of the Progressive Chassé will be (from Man's view):

    • 1. Backing DC against LOD

    • 2. Pointing DC

    • 3,4,5 Facing DC.

  • When the Progressive Chassé is taken after a Natural Spin turn danced with normal alignment it will be:

    • 2 Pointing to LOD
