Leader
Begin Backing LOD
This figure can start in different alignment, e.g. it could start with Man backing DC, ending facing DW.
Count &: RF back in CBMP (small step), LF held in CBMP | DC toe turned in | THT | up to 1/2 to L (Pivot) | -- | CBM | --
RF should track under the body. Body begins turning at the beginning of this step.
Small step. Straight back. Keep head weight on your left. Watch Lady's position, don't pivot too much too early, which will peel off from lady.

Begin Facing LOD
Count &: LF fwd in CBMP (small step) RF held in CBMP | DC | TH | up to 1/2 L (Pivot) |
Every time when turning to the left, imagine the belly button and center slightly turning to the right. Do not allow shoulder to completely line up with hips. R shoulder and R hip feel slightly open in left turning figures.
Step forward, head goes more left. Show off extension.
Primary contact between man and lady is the inside of the lady's upper thighs: her right thigh to inside of his R leg; her left thigh to outside of his R leg.
Lady's L leg should track Man's R leg when stepping this step. keep with Man, do not travel too much.
Controlled lowering at the end, before next step
Note:
If the Reverse Pivot is started backing DC the alignment for the Pivot (Man) would be "to center, toe turned in".
Note also that this step is in CBMP owing to the body turning strongly to L as the RF foot slips back.
This step is on the half beat, at end of last step of previous figure (e.g. Closed Impetus) - body has not completely lowered in previous figure when stepping on this step.
Allow this step to blend smoothly with the preceding step, if necessary borrowing from the next beat.
